## Methodology

Latest borough bedroom-specific median monthly rent, annualised and divided by the latest resident-based median gross annual earnings observation. The workbook does not publish an all-bedroom borough median. This is a ratio of two medians, not the rent burden of a typical individual household; the rent sample is purposive and not a rent index.
