Methodology
London's public realm trees — 1.14 million of them, collated by GiGL from all 33 local authorities, TfL, the Royal Parks and others. Colour is the composite climate suitability score from the Future Climate Suitability of London's Public Realm Trees report, which rates each common species against the conditions expected in 2090. This is not London's whole urban forest: the i-Tree survey puts that above eight million, and gardens and woodland are absent. The map is a one-in-eight sample of a 209 MB file; the counts beside it use every row.
