## Methodology

Companies with a London registered office by SIC code, for a curated set of recognisable trades rather than all seven hundred codes. SIC is self-declared at incorporation and never audited, so this is what companies say they do rather than what they turn out to do — and a company may declare several.

## Visualisations

- [Recognisable trades](https://londongraph.com/g/what-london-says-it-does): Retain the curated exact-SIC ranking as a readable entry point.
- [All SIC sections](https://londongraph.com/g/what-london-says-it-does?view=sic-sections): Use treemap area to compare every top-level SIC section in the monthly live-company snapshot.
- [All SIC divisions](https://londongraph.com/g/what-london-says-it-does?view=sic-divisions): Compare the complete two-digit SIC division inventory rather than a hand-picked list.
- [Sector co-location](https://londongraph.com/g/what-london-says-it-does?view=sector-colocation): Count companies that declare SIC activities spanning each pair of broad sector groups. Caveat: This reflects multi-SIC registration within companies, not physical collaboration between firms.
