## Methodology

Counts of OpenStreetMap shop features within Greater London, grouped from source tags. A feature is counted once even when a tiled query sees it twice. ‘Other retail’ preserves uncommon and emerging shop tags rather than silently dropping them; counts describe mapped records, not an official business census.
