## Methodology

Casualties joined to London collision references in the latest five-year DfT STATS19 files, grouped into broad road-user modes. Counts, not exposure-adjusted rates: a mode can appear high partly because more people or distance are represented. These are personal-injury collisions reported to police, not every road injury.
