Methodology

Every Greater London transaction in the Land Registry's latest monthly Price Paid update, placed at its postcode centroid and coloured by price. Registered last month, not sold last month: registration lags completion by weeks and sometimes years, so the file carries a spread of transfer dates and says so on each dot. A dot is a postcode rather than a doorstep, which is roughly the anonymity police.uk applies to crime.
