Methodology

Every incident the London Fire Brigade attended since January 2024, counted by month and by the brigade's own three categories. False alarms — most raised by automatic detection equipment rather than by a person — are the largest single category, ahead of special services (flooding, lock-ins, road traffic collisions) and well ahead of fires. The most recent month in each release is partial and is not drawn.
