Methodology

Every reported bicycle theft in Greater London over the last twelve published months. Police.uk snaps each crime to an anonymised map point rather than the exact address, so a cluster is a real cluster but a single dot is a neighbourhood, not a bike rack. The seasonal graph counted these same records and threw the coordinates away.
